Things to note before departure
Tour Fee and Deposit Information
- The tour fee includes: economy-class airfare, accommodation, meals (excluding self-catered meals), entrance fees to designated attractions, baggage handling, fuel, airport taxes, NT$5 million in travel contract liability insurance for the duration of the tour, and NT$200,000 in accidental injury medical insurance (including NT$5 million in accidental death insurance, exceeding the legal requirement of NT$2.5 million). It is important to note that according to insurance company regulations, the death or disability coverage for travelers under 15 and over 70 is limited to NT$2.5 million.
- The tour fee does not include round-trip airport transfers, passport processing fees, courtesy fees such as bedside tips, and personal expenses. For passengers joining the tour from other destinations, the tour fee does not include visa fees, airfare (international and domestic European), airport taxes, and fuel surcharges.
- After registering, please pay a deposit of NT$40,000 per person within three days. Group deposits may be increased during summer and winter vacations, long holidays, and the Spring Festival holiday. If your group is fully booked or there is a limited availability period, please pay the deposit the following day to complete your registration.
- Tour prices and itineraries may vary slightly depending on departure date. Please contact your travel specialist for confirmation. Tour prices are subject to change based on airline fare adjustments. The final price will be based on current fares. We reserve the right to adjust itinerary prices.
- The group status information on the website will be updated at any time as the actual number of registrants changes. It is recommended that you check the latest status online at any time.
Group Housing Benefits and Arrangement Considerations
- Tour prices are based on two people sharing a double room, but you're welcome to travel with a group. For odd-numbered groups, a single room supplement will be charged. We will arrange for same-sex group members to share a room, but if this arrangement is successful, the single room supplement will be waived.
- Due to local European fire regulations, most hotels only accept extra beds for children under 12. For triple rooms, a double room typically includes a king-size bed and a rollaway bed, sofa bed, or camp bed. Due to limited space and luggage storage, this can affect comfort, so we recommend avoiding triple rooms.
- We cannot guarantee adjoining or connecting rooms for groups. If you would like to be accommodated on the same floor or in adjacent rooms with friends and family, please ensure you select the same room type (e.g., twin beds or one king bed). We will do our best to inform the hotel of your request, but we cannot guarantee it.
- Room assignments are the sole responsibility of the hotel, and group bookings are generally allocated standard rooms. However, due to the European-style architecture, room size and location may vary, and family and connecting rooms are less common. King-size rooms are often arranged with two smaller beds joined together. If a standard room is upgraded at the hotel's discretion, the allocation is random and does not constitute discrimination by our company. Please understand this.
visa
- Starting January 11, 2011, Republic of China passport holders (passports with an ID number are required; those without an ID number, such as overseas Chinese, are not eligible) entering Schengen countries as tourists can enjoy a visa-free stay of 90 days within six months. Those who require a visa to enter Schengen countries should inform the travel specialist during registration so they can provide the necessary information.
- If you hold dual citizenship or a passport not issued by the Republic of China (ROC), please ensure your passport complies with visa requirements and re-entry requirements for your destination and Taiwan. If you hold a resident status, you must carry a valid residence permit when entering or leaving Taiwan. Furthermore, according to ROC law, you must use a valid passport of the same nationality (i.e., the same passport) when completing entry and exit procedures. If you fall into any of these situations, please inform our staff during registration so they can provide assistance and advice.
- To avoid passport issues affecting your departure or entry into Europe, please confirm the validity of your passport when registering and bring it safely to the airport on the day of departure. Your tour leader will assist you with check-in procedures.
Your passport must be valid for at least six months (based on your return date of entry into Taiwan), have at least two blank pages, and be intact. If your passport is dirty, has pages separated or torn, has a profile that doesn't match your photo, or has a name change, please renew or reissue it immediately. For more information, please read the "Passport Application Guidelines" or contact a travel specialist.
◆ Military and police officers, conscripts, and those with dual nationality or special status should confirm in advance whether they need to apply for permission or additional documents to avoid affecting entry and exit.
◆Special reminder: Please bring your correct and valid passport to the airport on your departure date. Failure to bring your passport, or bringing the wrong one, will result in your boarding failure and you will be solely responsible for any consequences. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
- The issuance or non-issuance of local visas is a force majeure event and cannot be attributed to the travel agencies in either place. The two travel agencies may handle the matter in accordance with Article 14 of the contract and cooperate in group transfer or refund of deposits.
Special Reminder
- Once you pay the deposit, the travel contract is established. We will prepay any related expenses as required by our partner (e.g., hotel, restaurant, airline, etc.). If you cancel your trip for any reason, we will charge you for any excess expenses or refund the remaining deposit based on the terms of the "Standardized Overseas Travel Contract" or actual payment details. Please note that most airlines require full payment after ticket issuance and do not allow changes to the passenger list.
- 【Cancellation Notes】
◆If the group does not reach the required number of participants: A full refund will be given if the group cancellation agreement is signed and returned within the deadline.
◆Cancellation due to personal reasons: Cancellation fees (tickets, accommodation, transportation, operating fees, etc.) will be charged in accordance with the provisions of the standardized overseas travel contract. A refund can be processed after signing the group cancellation consent form.
※Refund will be made according to the passenger’s original payment method:
◆Credit card refund: The refund will be made to the original credit card account. The processing time depends on the operation progress of each bank and takes about 7-10 business days.
◆Remittance Refund: The refund will be returned to the original remittance account. Please provide a copy of your account information. The processing time is approximately 2-3 business days.
Cash Refund: If you paid for the tour fee or deposit in cash, you must go to the company in person to handle it. After the account is verified, it will be processed. It takes about 3 working days to complete.
- Our group economy class tickets are used throughout the trip. Due to airline regulations, pre-departure seat selection and specific seat requests (e.g., window or aisle) are not available for group fares. Seating will be arranged in alphabetical order based on the passenger's English name. Travelers may not be seated next to each other. If you require specific seating, you can choose to select your seat for an additional fee. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Other Notes
- In the event of a large-scale exhibition, festival or emergency, which necessitates adjustments to the itinerary, hotel or accommodation arrangements based on the order of flights and hotels, Chengxiang Yuntong reserves the right to adjust the itinerary order and arrange hotels of the same grade, but in principle, this shall not affect the existing itinerary content.
- Different countries present varying degrees of travel risk. To protect your safety and the rights of your fellow travelers, please inform us if you have a chronic illness, are pregnant, are over 70 years old, or have mobility issues. Please be aware that you will only be accepted if you are traveling with family or friends. Failure to disclose any health conditions that result in travel interruption or other issues will be the sole responsibility of the traveler.
- Group tours require consideration for all passengers and coordination with the itinerary. If you are traveling with infants or young children, care may be affected by itinerary arrangements. Careful consideration is recommended before booking. Airlines remind you that due to flight considerations and regulatory restrictions, the number of infants accepted per flight is limited. Please confirm the regulations with the tour operator in advance and provide the names and dates of birth of the parents and infant. Registration will only be accepted after confirmation.
- Foreign cuisine tends to be rich in flavors and often contains a high concentration of meat. Vegetarian travelers are advised to inform us of this requirement in advance during registration. Vegetarian meals offered by overseas groups may not be as diverse as those in Taiwan. It is recommended to understand the differences in local food culture and bring your own canned vegetarian food or instant noodles. Western and Chinese lunches are served with water, while dinner includes alcohol. Please contact your tour leader to purchase other beverages. Some participating restaurants may also offer alcohol or coffee at lunch; specific arrangements will be announced by the tour leader.
- Most overseas stores are closed on Sundays and national holidays. If you have shopping plans, please inform your tour operator or tour leader in advance so they can recommend a departure date or adjust your shopping plans.
- Photos of itinerary attractions and meals are taken by group members, tour leaders or photographers. Actual scenery or dishes may vary due to season or shooting angle. Please understand.
- Some airlines can fly from Kaohsiung to the transfer point to meet up with the group. Please contact your travel specialist for details.
- The estimated travel time is for reference only. The tour leader will adjust his schedule according to the group's progress and operational conditions. The company also reserves the right to replace the tour leader. Please understand if changes are needed due to group deployment or temporary circumstances.
