Taiwan visa policy update: e-visa and visa-free countries expanded

 Taiwan extends visa-free travel to July 31, 2026 (Announcement date: June 14, 2025)

According to the announcement of the Bureau of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan on June 14, 2025, the visa-free measures for travelers from Thailand, Brunei and the Philippines will be extended and will be valid until July 31, 2026.

🌏 Applicable countries:
Thailand, Brunei, Philippines

✈️ Visa exemption content:
Ordinary passport holders can enjoy a visa-free stay of up to 14 days when entering Taiwan (subject to meeting the visa-free entry conditions).

📌 Also announced:
The countries eligible for electronic visas (e-Visas) have also been expanded to include: India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos.
