Anyone who has visited Niu'er Art Park will remember the unique bronze sculpture at the entrance. This friendly old man, holding a nail in his left hand and a hammer in his right, sits on a large rock with a smile on his face, as if saying to everyone passing by: Welcome to Niu'er!

Yes, this simple and amiable old man is Mr. Lin Yuan, the soul of Niuer Art Park. Established in 1987, Niuer Art Park is Asia's first amateur sculpture park.

The park features sculptures by three renowned Taiwanese sculptors: Lin Yuan, Yang Yingfeng, and Ju Ming. Founder Huang Bingsong explained that the park was named after these three sculptors, all born in the Year of the Ox. They dedicated their lives to artistic creation, hoping to establish themselves as leaders in the field of sculpture.

Niuer Art Resort blends art with local culture. Works by amateur artist Lin Yuan are displayed throughout the resort, allowing visitors to admire his stone carvings at any time. Originally a farmer, Lin Yuan's works are imbued with a rustic charm, and each one holds a story. Though he has passed away, his works still evoke the lively stories he once told.
