It is the only temple in Taiwan dedicated to the founding Mother Goddess of Meizhou. Other major temples that have branched out from Lugang Tianhou Temple include Beigang Chaotian Temple, Mailiao Gongfan Temple, Puzi Peitian Temple, and Changhua Tianhou Temple, totaling over 2,000 temples throughout Taiwan and abroad. Devotees can be found throughout Taiwan, attracting a constant stream of pilgrims year-round.<\/p>\n<p>The Meizhou Mazu Temple at Lugang Tianhou Temple is not only renowned for its prominent deity and widespread worship, but also renowned for its age and grand scale.
