The trailhead is located next to the Jiantan bus stop on Section 4 of Zhongshan North Road. This area was once a military restricted area and security forest, so the natural forest landscape and ecological flora are well preserved. Numerous artificially planted vegetation and economic plants line the trail, imbuing it with lush greenery.<\/p>\n
The Jiantan Mountain Hiking Trail's nighttime views have always been incredibly popular, and certainly have their own unique charm. From this commanding vantage point, you can admire the bustling cityscape, the lights, and the occasional low-flying airplanes that fly across the starry sky, a scene that always excites hikers and relishes. Combined with the delicious food and snacks of the Shilin Night Market, the number of people exploring the trail at night is even higher than during the day or morning hours.
