Located in Sanyi Township, Miaoli County, West Lake Resort, founded in 1989, is a 60-hectare leisure park integrating natural ecology with fairytale themes. Based on the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tales, the park features a variety of facilities, including the Versailles Garden, a garden chapel, a fairytale forest ecological experience hall, a butterfly garden, and a firefly interactive hall, making it ideal for family outings and group activities.
Dexing Pond within the park, formerly known as "Guaizi Lake," is surrounded by mountains, its scenery rivaling Hangzhou's West Lake, earning it the name "West Lake Resort." April and May mark the annual tung blossom and firefly season, attracting large numbers of visitors to admire the blossoms and fireflies. The park also offers a garden train, DIY activities, wedding venues, and accommodations, including European-style villas and forest cabins.
