Since the Japanese colonial era, Chiayi City has been the busiest commercial district on the Chiayi Plain, with its distinctive shops and wares along Datong (Zhongshan Road), Ertong (Zhongzheng Road), and Wenhua Road. The Wenhua Road Night Market is renowned for its diverse offerings, including dim sum, authentic Chiayi turkey rice, soy milk tofu pudding, traditional spring rolls, and international cuisine. There's also ginger-glazed tomatoes, a dish not found in northern Taiwan, and oyster omelets made with ingredients sourced from Dongshi, which are sold until midnight. Other popular spots include A'e Tofu Pudding, Huangmao Atou (Dongshan Duck Head), Yuanxing Yuxiangwu (hand-shaken drinks), and Lin Congming Clay Pot Fish Head. These offerings delight the discerning palate, attracting a steady stream of food connoisseurs.

Open year-round, there is a dazzling array of delicious food, including many super-unique hidden gems. Just looking at them makes you hungry, and you can’t wait to take a bite from every stall!
The night market has wide roads, a clean environment, and reasonable prices. It is well-deserved to be called the best attraction in Chiayi!
