Lao Guo Leisure Farm is Taiwan's first agricultural tourism venue themed around rice noodle culture. Founded in 1999 by the Kuo family, it is dedicated to preserving and promoting the century-old history and craftsmanship of Hsinchu rice noodles.
The park combines education, experience and food to provide a variety of activities, including:
– ✅ Rice Noodle DIY: Make air-dried rice noodles by yourself and learn about the traditional craftsmanship from soaking rice, grinding rice to drying the noodles.
– ✅ Rice Culture Course: Experience making rice dishes such as Hakka mochi, red tortoise cake, and grass cake.
– ✅ Ecological Tour: Explore the ecology of Hsinchu’s coastline and learn about the local natural environment.
– ✅ Ancient Children’s Play Area and Tunnel Adventure: Suitable for family trips, with butterflies flying in the tunnel, full of surprises.
– ✅ Catering and souvenirs: Provide hot rice noodle dishes and rice noodle-related products, retaining the traditional packaging style.
