🌿 Tea Science in the Mountains|Introduction to Donglong Tea
Shanzhong Chaxun, founded in 2019 by third-generation Donglong tea masters Yan Shengxun and Zhuo Yingling, is located in Lugu, Nantou, Taiwan, the hometown of Dongding Oolong tea. The misty, cool climate of this region nurtures high-mountain teas with a vibrant aroma and sweet flavor. Adhering to the philosophy of "making in the mountains, learning through tea," the brand integrates tea-making, drinking, and aesthetics to create a tea culture experience that blends tradition with innovation.
Since its founding in 1974, Donglong Tea has been passed down through three generations, consistently adhering to handcrafted tea production and uncompromising quality. The third generation, after taking over, integrated their design background with the spirit of tea art, elevating Shanzhongchaxue to more than just a tea brand, but also a philosophy of life. Teas such as Shanlinxi High Mountain Tea, Dongding Oolong Tea, and Girl Black Tea are all sourced from their own tea gardens, showcasing diverse flavors through varying degrees of fermentation and roasting.

Shanzhong Tea Academy places special emphasis on the aesthetics of tea. Visitors can participate in tea tastings by a forest lake or amidst a bamboo grove, experiencing the resonance between tea and nature. Activities include experiencing the tea-making process, making a handmade tea-scented pillow, and pressing individual tea cakes, allowing visitors to move from simply drinking tea to truly understanding it. Their "Girl's Black Tea," made with 30-day-old leaves, offers a diverse range of aromas and is a favorite among young people.
In addition, the brand's design has also received numerous international recognitions. For example, the "Tea Fragrance Pillow" won the 2023 American MUSE Design Award and the London Design Award Silver Award, demonstrating the extension of tea culture in life aesthetics.
Tea Science in the Mountains | Donglong Tea is not only synonymous with a cup of good tea, but also a sensory journey where mountains, forests and humanities are intertwined.
